FEBRUARY 9, 2004

Greetings Fellow Lions!

If you missed the meeting on February 6th, you missed a treat but here is a quick overview of what transpired. If you were unable to attend, please join us for the next meeting which will be the 1st Tuesday of March at 200 E Mansfield Highway which is the old post office building in Kennedale across from the Burger Box. (Donna Traweek?s accounting office).

The Club voted to meet only once per month which will be the 1st Tuesday of each month.
Meeting time will be 4:15PM

The Winter Conference may have energized the KENNEDALE Lions. Something has!!!

Cathy Caruthers is trying to set up a fund raiser which will be a chili supper at the Kennedale Community Center. Cathy, Wendy and Jaimie are working on a 3 day give away at the Horseshoe Casino which will be raffled and given away at the supper. Also, there will be a silent auction. John Morris needs to be contacted or you may call this office if you have something that we can auction off at the supper. We need people to call on Kennedale Business Owners for donations for the silent auction.

Can you help?

Not been active?

Come on!!! It?ll do you good and the children of Kennedale!

Wendy Otto of Wells Fargo Bank had a list of wonderful ideas for fund raising which she shared with members. She is working on Lions Club T-Shirts to be donated by Wells Fargo Bank.

We thank our visitor, Bill Lyon, from the Southeast Lions Club for joining us.

We thank Gordon Settle for his ideas to market ads from our web-site to be!
Chris Butler was appointed head of this task in Gordon's absence!
If you know a disadvantaged child that we need to sponsor for the Children?s Camp, please contact us!

Cheddar?s was noisy. Hope that I have not left out something important which I am sure I probably did. It was great fun, fellowship and for the first time that I remember very energizing!

We are off the ground and moving!!!!

Feel that moment!!!!

R O A R !!!!!

See you March 2nd!

Secretary,
Donna Traweek
